Alexander Mischenko
Graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Biological Faculty. Senior researcher in Laboratory of Biodiversity Conservation and Use of Biological Resources, A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution. Main researches fields: conservation of waterfowl and meadow birds and their habitats, mainly in European Russia. Scientific interests: adaptations of birds to anthropogenic transformation of environment and climate changes, development of scientifically based methods for conservation and wise use of birds. Coordinator of BirdsRussia the long-term projects on restoration of disturbed bogs and projects of habitat-friendly management for farmland birds.
